Prince William Plans to Join COP30 Climate Summit in South America

The Prince of Wales is scheduled to attend the United Nations climate conference in South America next month, according to royal officials.

The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a reception ahead of the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the Amazonian city of Belém.

The royal pair were in attendance at the scientific institution event, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a environmental conference preliminary meeting organized in partnership with the United Kingdom administration.

Climate Leadership Dedication

King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of biodiversity preservation - and the Prince of Wales has inherited the mission, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be hosted in Rio ahead of the UN meeting.

Official representatives have described William's involvement at the next COP as taking on an significant responsibility in "global climate discussions".

The monarch and his heir, making a joint entrance in the official car, were greeted participants featuring conservation experts, researchers, climate change campaigners, diplomats and government officials.

This participation included speaking alongside French leader Macron of the French Republic and other international figures at the Marine Economy Conference in Monaco in recent months.
